What the rule requires

A short mandatory notice telling the buyer that the goods come with a legal guarantee of conformity, shown in the purchase flow. Small in size, visible on every checkout, and new enough that no platform renders it natively.

Who it binds: Sellers of consumer goods to consumers in the EU, from 27 September 2026. A standardised notice about the legal guarantee of conformity has to be presented before the purchase is concluded.
